For the second time in three years, Stris & Maher has been named to the National Law Journal’s (NLJ) Appellate Hot List. The list recognizes Stris & Maher and 21 other leading firms who “won key matters before the U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts of appeal.”
As reported in NLJ Q&A with founding partner Peter K. Stris, Stris & Maher had two unanimous wins before the Supreme Court in 2018 (U.S. Bank National Association v. Village at Lakeridge and Lagos v. United States), which “topped off a three-term run where three different Stris & Maher partners argued eight cases before the court, winning half of them.” Mr. Stris attributed this success to the firm’s “extremely deep bench” of lawyers, highlighting that “[t]his year, eight different Stris & Maher lawyers argued, or are currently preparing to argue, at least one significant business appeal before the United States Supreme Court, a federal circuit court, or a state Supreme Court.”
Stris & Maher was previously named to the 2016 Appellate Hot List.
