John Stokes and Stris named Runners-up for Litigators of the Week

In its Litigator of the Week column for the week ending February 17, 2023, The Am Law Litigation Daily writes: “Runners-up honors also to lawyers at Stris & Maher and Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll who got a major win for ERISA plaintiffs at the Tenth Circuit this week, with amicus backing from the Department of Labor. The ruling upheld a lower court decision finding ERISA plans cannot force participants to pursue representative claims for monetary relief via individual arbitrations. John Stokes of Stris & Maher argued the appeal on behalf of Robert Harrison, a former employee of diagnostic imaging services company Envision and a participant in an ERISA-protected stock option plan offered by the company.”
