For third year, Stris & Maher ranked by Chambers in two nationwide categories
For a third consecutive year, Chambers & Partners has ranked Stris & Maher in its annual guide of America’s leading firms. The firm is ranked in two nationwide categories: appellate litigation and ERISA litigation.
Chambers’ guides are the result of thousands of in-depth interviews and are trusted across the globe to objectively rank the world’s best lawyers and law firms.
In the appellate litigation category, Stris & Maher was named one of the 23 leading firms in the nation. We are proud to share this honor with 18 AmLaw firms and 4 prominent boutiques. Additionally, founding partner Peter Stris was one of the 71 lawyers personally ranked in this category. This year, Chambers remarked that:
The “very skilled and effective” Peter Stris possesses a prominent appellate practice across a number of state and federal courts nationwide. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a range of constitutional and business disputes, including media-related litigation. Clients praise his “meticulous preparation,” adding: “The tenacity with which he prepares is outstanding. He has complete mastery of the facts.”
Mr. Stris was also ranked this year as one of the top 33 appellate lawyers based in California, with Chambers writing:
Peter Stris is developing an impressive national appellate law practice, with a number of US Supreme Court arguments already under his belt. He handles the full spectrum of appeals on behalf of businesses, and is particularly proficient in ERISA matters. A client describes him as “a top-tier strategist and an exceptional oral communicator.”
In the ERISA litigation category, Stris & Maher was named one of the 15 leading firms in the nation. We are proud to share this honor with 12 AmLaw firms and 2 prominent boutiques.
