Stris & Maher Among Most Successful Supreme Court Firms of 2015 Term

The credit for a Supreme Court victory goes beyond any individual attorney, argues coverage in Empirical SCOTUS. In metrics tracking firm performance in merits representation before the Supreme Court, Empirical SCOTUS placed Stris & Maher second among all firms. It also reported that Peter Stris’s oral argument record before the Justices last Term trailed only Paul Clement, the former Solicitor General of the George W. Bush administration:

“The two most successful attorneys for the Term were Paul Clement and Peter Stris.  Stris was on the winning side of the two cases where he was a party’s representative: for Robert Montanile in Montanile v. Board of Trustees and for Greg Manning in Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. v. Manning.”

In different metrics used by Law360, Stris & Maher placed third behind only renowned Supreme Court groups at Jenner & Block and Mayer Brown.
