Stris & Maher proud to support NAPABA and AALDEF brief opposing citizenship questions on 2020 Census
The firm is honored to be associated with the amicus brief filed by the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) and National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) in Department of Commerce v. New York, No. 18-966. This U.S. Supreme Court case will address the Trump Administration’s attempt to include citizenship questions on the 2020 Census. The AALDEF and NAPABA amicus brief argues in support of state efforts to keep citizenship questions off the Census. Radha Pathak appeared on the brief in connection with her role as co-chair of the Amicus Brief Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
