Stris & Maher LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of Peter J. Brody to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2025.
Peter is a creative and aggressive litigator who represents clients on both sides of the “v” in their most significant civil disputes. He joined Stris & Maher in 2023.
Although he has a record of securing wins at every stage of litigation, Peter focuses on delivering for clients at trial. Peter’s versatile practice includes the successful trial-level representation of individual and corporate clients across a range of industries (from biotech to consumer products) in disputes spanning diverse subject matters (from antitrust to patent to civil RICO), and his breadth of experience allows him to bring outside-the-box perspectives to complex and contentious challenges. Peter has first-chaired a variety of important matters for the firm’s clients, including critical depositions, case-dispositive motions, and most recently an injunction hearing. In 2024, Peter was a core member of the Stris & Maher team that delivered a complete victory for the firm’s client in a hard-fought five-day trial.
Before joining Stris & Maher, Peter served as a law clerk on three federal courts for two federal judges: Judge Andrew D. Hurwitz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Richard J. Sullivan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and his B.A. from Emory University.
