Peter is a trial lawyer who handles high-stakes, complex business disputes.

Peter represents clients—often as plaintiffs—in a wide range of commercial litigation, including breach of contract, corporate control, earnout, fraud, trade secret, class action, intellectual property, and antitrust disputes. Peter’s practice is national—he is at home in forums from California state court, to the Delaware Court of Chancery, to various federal district courts in between. And, while Peter concentrates his practice almost exclusively on trials, his advocacy draws on his broad appellate experience, including in the U.S. Supreme Court and the Second, Third, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits.

Peter is known for quickly identifying the facts and narratives that move decision-makers—judges, juries, and arbitrators alike. He excels at transforming complex financial and technical evidence into clear, persuasive trial presentations. As a result, clients often turn to Peter for high-speed, trial-bound disputes. In recent years, Peter has represented multiple clients in expedited cases that moved from complaint to trial in a matter of months.

Before joining Stris, Peter served as a law clerk on three federal courts for two judges: Judge Andrew D. Hurwitz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and Judge Richard J. Sullivan of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He also practiced at Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP, a leading New York litigation boutique, and in the Los Angeles office of Cooley LLP. He received his J.D. with honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was an editor of the University of Chicago Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University.
